This week we had tons of fun centered around Dr. Martin Luther King! I find that it is sometimes difficult for little ones to grasp the concept of what Dr. King did for our country. This year, thanks to many great resources from other TpT'ers, my students caught on pretty well. We didn't have time to finish up all of our projects since it was only a 3 day week, but as soon as we finish up I will post pictures.
It was only a 3 day week because we had a snow day yesterday! You heard correctly, I live in South Louisiana and we had a snow day!! I would have called it an ice/sleet day but either way, my two boys had fun staying home and playing in the "snow"
In addition to our many MLK activities, my older students began learning multiplication this week! They had so much fun with the activities in Amy Lemons' Marvelous Multiplication unit. One of their favorites were these adorable multiplication mushrooms!
