Pirate Math & your Friday FREEBIE

Hello Friends!  I am back from my wonderful vacation - we had a blast!  Here are a few pictures from our time at the beach.

The weather was beautiful, the beach was clean, and I am now well rested.  I guess it's time to start planning for Back to School! Yipee!! I love the beginning of a new school year.

One common struggle with the students I teach is always with basic math fact fluency.  I have tried many different ways to teach students to fluently add and subtract and what I have found to work the best is simply constant practice and review with basic facts especially through games and hands-on practice.  With that in mind, I find as many games and activities as I can for students to play throughout the year.

I recently purchased a cute pirate clip art set from the amazing Ashley Hughes, from The School Supply Addict, and decided to make some math fact fluency games with these adorable designs.

Here is my newest TpT product, Pirate Addition Activities & Printables {Sums 11-20} which includes math fact fluency practice with addition sums of 11 - 20.

This product includes sorting activities, task cards with a recording sheet, a card game I call -ZAP-, plus 12 printables.  The sorting activities and -ZAP- game are offered in both full color as well as black and white in order to give you more printing options.  The sorting activity includes over 80 sorting cards, 10 sorting mats, plus 10 headings for use in pocket charts.  This activity allows for differentiation in order to meet your students' needs.  The task cards can be used in a center, as a Write the Room activity, as well as a Scoot game.  Teacher suggestions and directions are included for all activities.  There are a total of 75 pages in this set.

WoW- that was a long post-sorry guys!  For those of you who stuck with it and read all the way to here, I have a gift for you.  Although it is Saturday, here is your Friday FREEBIE:

BTW...when I first saw your picture with your sunglasses on, I thought you were a former teammate of mine. I had to do look at the other picture, too. You have similar smiles.
