I was so excited to find the variety of colors (at one location, in one shopping trip) so that I could make my shelves bright and colorful.  Here are a few more pictures of my progress in getting my school ready for August 16.
This is a picture from my Instagram.  Click the picture to see that post.

How about a FREEBIE...

This 14 page download includes 12 puzzles that have students read a phrase and match it to the picture it describes.  The phrases use sh and ch nouns and include adjectives for you to integrate some grammar practice with phonics.  You also receive a picture sort with 12 pictures that begin with sh and ch plus 4 sorting printables.  Click on one of the pictures above to download it from my TpT store.  I would love to hear your comments and feedback on this product because I am trying to decide whether to make a bigger set similar to this with sh, ch, th, and wh.  Thanks!

I hope you have a wonderful day!

Pirate Math & your Friday FREEBIE

Hello Friends!  I am back from my wonderful vacation - we had a blast!  Here are a few pictures from our time at the beach.

The weather was beautiful, the beach was clean, and I am now well rested.  I guess it's time to start planning for Back to School! Yipee!! I love the beginning of a new school year.

One common struggle with the students I teach is always with basic math fact fluency.  I have tried many different ways to teach students to fluently add and subtract and what I have found to work the best is simply constant practice and review with basic facts especially through games and hands-on practice.  With that in mind, I find as many games and activities as I can for students to play throughout the year.

I recently purchased a cute pirate clip art set from the amazing Ashley Hughes, from The School Supply Addict, and decided to make some math fact fluency games with these adorable designs.

Here is my newest TpT product, Pirate Addition Activities & Printables {Sums 11-20} which includes math fact fluency practice with addition sums of 11 - 20.

This product includes sorting activities, task cards with a recording sheet, a card game I call -ZAP-, plus 12 printables.  The sorting activities and -ZAP- game are offered in both full color as well as black and white in order to give you more printing options.  The sorting activity includes over 80 sorting cards, 10 sorting mats, plus 10 headings for use in pocket charts.  This activity allows for differentiation in order to meet your students' needs.  The task cards can be used in a center, as a Write the Room activity, as well as a Scoot game.  Teacher suggestions and directions are included for all activities.  There are a total of 75 pages in this set.

Click on any picture above to visit this product page in my TpT store.  I am hoping to have this set covering addition (sums 0-10) and subtraction in my store in the near future.

WoW- that was a long post-sorry guys!  For those of you who stuck with it and read all the way to here, I have a gift for you.  Although it is Saturday, here is your Friday FREEBIE:

Click the picture above to download 3 of the printables from my new Pirate Addition set.

Thanks again for visiting my blog.  If you download the freebie, I would love to hear your feedback.  Feel free to leave comments on this post :)
