Freebie Friday is All About Sight Words

Happy Freebie Friday!  Today I want to share with you some sight word activities that I have created and implemented in my classroom. My classroom includes mixed grade levels and it is often a challenge trying to keep my K students busy with engaging activities in order for me to give one-on-one attention to my 1st graders.  In order to come up with a solution I created engaging sight word activities.  I am in the process of putting them together for my TpT store but while you wait I went ahead and created a freebie for you guys.  Here is a look at the different pieces in use:
The puzzles are offered in full color, simple color, and black & white.  This set is the black & white that I colored myself (coloring is a great stress reliever for me haha)

Students choose a picture, look at the word underneath, then find all the letters needed and put the puzzle together.  This particular set is self correcting because I outlined the letters in the same color for each word.

You also receive sorting printables.  Students must color the word, cut out words from the bottom, sort them into the correct boxes(each printable has 2 words at the bottom that do not belong in any chart-just to add a little more higher order thinking) and glue them down.  Then they write the word.

Click on the picture below to download your own free copy.  Check my store in the near future for sets that include the entire Dolch list broken down into levels.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!
